Medical Imaging Technologies (PACSIntegrator)

Our extensive commercial and federal experience providing innovative digital imaging technology solutions spans a wide range of projects ranging in scope from large cross-enterprise integration efforts to smaller specific niche implementations within medical centers or clinics. Our PACSIntegrator solution allows the capture, management and exchange of digital medical imaging information from PACS systems or other image modalities into any desired application such as patient electronic health record systems and distributed telemedicine applications both within and across medical facilities and entire healthcare enterprises.

Recently we have demonstrated successful image sharing and integration between two of the world’s largest healthcare systems, the Military health System and the Veterans Health Administration. We have a core imaging technology capability that includes extensive experience with the DICOM image standard, image processing, image compression, document imaging, image manipulation/conversion, and specific and detailed expertise with medical imaging, modalities and PACS. Additionally, our solutions incorporate enterprise repositories, intelligent object caching and federated registries of metadata for all types of digital medical data. We provide a portable image-viewer that operates as a web-based plug-in to existing applications, or as a stand-alone feature based on user needs.

CPS Healthcare, Inc. developed a set of imaging processing tools which were used to create the PACSIntegrator. Initial versions were built in support of Walter Reed Army Medical Center and the U.S. Air Force, Surgeon General Office of Modernization. These implementations allowed medical images to be seamlessly integrated into the electronic patient record systems for these organizations. This technology won 1st Place in the 2005 TETHIE Award for New Technology Device for Diagnostics. The PACSIntegrator is the core piece of our technology, any image, anytime, anywhere.
